Had an excellent day today
I took both today and tomorrow off work to give myself a nice 4 day weekend, though today I still had a decent amount to do. I took the cat to the vet, then took a nice nap, then went to therapy in the afternoon. I stopped by the Met after that, and took one look at the line for the McQueen exhibit and decided that wasn’t happening (the wait was 1.5 hours long, according to a sign). So I...

Things my cat is not fond of:
Being put in the carrier Being carried in the carrier Strange places Being touched/held by strange people Having her temperature taken Getting shots Having her claws trimmed All in all, she did not have a happy morning at the vet. But we’re home now, and she seems fine, especially since I gave her some lunch meat as a treat.

I am super tired.
I would like to put my head down on the desk and sleep. I am glad I am taking Thursday and Friday off. That means this is my last day of work this week. Yay! But I still have 6.5 hours left at work. Boo. And I should call the referral people and sort shit out, but the idea of doing that right now just sounds draining and like way too much effort. Especially since it took me three tries to spell...

hamsterpantsworld replied to your post: So what? If you don’t believe in god, so what? How does affect what you DO believe in. Hundreds of atheist choices, why label on as simply atheist? Dude, he’s a non-native speaker, obvs, and seems to be a little slow as well. It’s like arguing semantics with a lemur or something. Arguing with a lemur sounds much more adorable.

RHPolitics: Atheism →
robot-heart-politics: victorvongoethe: In a philosophic sense you can spend your whole life defining a single word. I just don’t like the generalities. Theist I find as inappropriate as atheist, cause neither show much of view point. In other words, there is nothing illogical about the term atheist. You just don’t think it’s specific enough to be useful.  How does “atheist” not...

So either only every other clementine I eat is properly ripe, or none of them are quite right but by the time I eat the second one my mouth is used to the taste and it seems sweeter than it really is.

Stupid health insurance.
I was responsible and asked for referrals for my eye doctor and allergist when I went to the doctor earlier this month. They said I should get them in the mail in about 7-10 days. That was, oh, about 14 days ago. And they have not arrived, and according to the website, they’re not even done being processed yet. And my eye doctor appointment is tomorrow. And I have a meeting from 4 to 5,...

So I’m listening to “TikTok”, and because it’s a song I dance to when I play Just Dance 2, my limbs are twitching, wanting to do the various moves associated with the song. Never mind that I haven’t played the game in at least a month; the muscle memory is still strong. I imagine the same thing would happen if I heard “Crazy in Love,” too. Those two were...

Not cold, mind you, but pleasantly chilled. It’s lovely after this past week. Also, I totally missed my 2,000th post sometime last week or so. Alas and alack.

devils-and-daffodils: beezypond: How come you’re all dying from the heat? I thought everyone in the States had A/C in their house? or do you mean outside? welp I mean when I’ve visited everyone always has A/C… I used to think it was, but since moving to Iowa I’ve discovered it’s not. Plus all the AC up here is just window units. That’s not AC to me. Most of the dorms I clean at work don’t...
