Back at work after a one day weekend. Whee.
Random complaints:
I really wish people would just talk in a normal volume level. I either end up listening to people talking way too loudly on their cell phone or hear people whispering to each other. Which, I appreciate people trying to be quiet in the library, but whispering is a sound that gets under the skin, especially when one is headachey or tired.
If one is giving a hotel large sums of money, you would think that they would do the math on just how much money you should be giving them themselves, yes? Not give you rates and instruct you to figure it out yourself?

One of the coffee shops near work is staffed by fairly stereotypical hipster barista types. They play a variety of music, but today it was “Independent Women” by Destiny’s Child and two of the baristas were dancing and it was generally awesome.
